2018 Hy-Vee Classic Pregame

Four schools. Four mascots. One LAST event.

The University of Northern Iowa Alumni Association invites you to join us at the pregame rally to cheer on the Panther men’s basketball team before the final Hy-Vee Classic! All four schools – UNI, Iowa, Iowa State and Drake will gather together for the final time in Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center to cheer on their teams.

Join us to experience music by David Gallagher and enjoy giveaways, mascots and each school’s pep band and cheer squad! Cash refreshments and free appetizers and snacks will also be offered until supplies last. Show your Panther Pride as UNI’s mascot, spirit squad and pep band lead the UNI portion of the program at 2:40 p.m.

3:30 p.m. Game 1 – Drake Bulldogs vs. Iowa State Cyclones
6 p.m. Game 2 – Northern Iowa Panthers vs. Iowa Hawkeyes

Central Iowa Shelter Donations
Following years past, all four schools are working together to collect new or gently used adult coats, socks, hats, gloves and mittens for the Central Iowa Shelter & Services who will be on hand at the event to collect items. The mission of Central Iowa Shelter & Services is to provide low-barrier shelter, meals and support services at no cost to adults experiencing homelessness and to facilitate their move toward self-sufficiency.
